Moc Thoās Custom Wood Map Secrets: Where Geography Meets Craftsmanship
The map design process is critical for accuracy, involving two key steps.
Firstly, using data from Google Maps ensures the map is created with the correct scale. This data is vital for representing spatial relationships accurately.Ā
Secondly, incorporating bathymetric data enhances the visualization of water depth.Ā

Bathymetry provides detailed underwater contours, crucial for both aesthetic appeal and functional use in marine activities. Together, these steps ensure the map accurately represents both land and underwater features, combining precise topographic details with essential bathymetric insights.

Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 170 reviews.
Beautiful product and great experience overall. The quality and detail are outstanding, and the custom engraving made it such a meaningful gift. My clients loved it!
Communication was great throughout the process. The only issue was the location pin was placed incorrectly (marked at my mailing address instead of the property), so Iād recommend double-checking that detail. Easy fix, I was able to remove it and glue it to the right spot without messing anything up.
Also, plan ahead... turnaround time was longer than expected. I ordered about a month in advance and received it a couple weeks after closing.
Still a very unique and high quality piece! I would definitely order again.
I could not be happier with the product. The seller is a great communicator and made the custom order process so easy. Shipping was fast and it came in perfect condition. Iām in LOVE!!
Absolutely thrilled with our purchase. It is well crafted, eye catching and just overall great. We have considered buying something like this for a long time - so glad we did it. Couldnāt have asked for more - thank you!!
I am so happy with our lake picture! It's going to look great on our wall at the lake house. They customized it perfectly for us by building it without a frame, marking our house location precisely, and taking the time to verify the details of what I wanted. The quality is outstanding. It shipped and arrived when predicted and the packaging was well done. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this seller.
The map was so beautifully made, it was a hit as a special birthday gift. It arrived very well wrapped, and right on time. Thao was quick to reach out to confirm the information and offer updates, as well as answer questions. I'm very grateful that I took the leap to purchase this, I've been looking at it on and off for a few years! I'm so happy with it, and it is truly a touching keepsake.
Highly recommended! Prompt and polite replies to questions and queries. Very very patient with me throughout the entire creation and editing process. Great craftsmanship on this high quality product. Quick delivery once it was made.
We worked with Thao to create a beautiful map of a lake as a gift for my in-laws! Thao was wonderful, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we loved the art before they made it! As my father-in-law put it, "It is perfect!"!! If you're thinking of getting a beautiful art piece, this is the shop!
I absolutely loved this product! I got our cottage lake and gave it as a gift to my mom to hang up at our cottage. Not only did she love it as a thoughtful gift, she is also raving about the quality. My only issue was that I live in Canada and the delivery was a bit tough getting here. I saw that everyone in the US had no problems with shipping so it's really just a matter of getting the product across the border. I will say it was totally worth the wait and thank you for such a great gift!
I highly recommend this vendor. Thao continuously worked with me during the design process to create the perfect picture. It ended up exactly as I had envisioned and will make the perfect birthday gift for my husband. Thanks Thao!
Loved the quality! Many proofs were sent of each step along the way making sure I was satisfied. Leave time to order this as a gift during busy seasons like the holidays. They definitely take good care of each piece and donāt try to rush to pump out a million of these, which also means youāll want to plan your order with more than enough time! Our recipient did have to get an IOU photo of one of the proofs due to shipping delays, but it was totally worth the wait and she LOVED it!
Stunning piece of art! Even more beautiful in person and made such a special gift. The customer service was beyond excellent as well - this seller is very responsive and helps ensure the piece you order is exactly as you hope for it to be! Highly recommend.
Shipping took a verrry long time, but that was expected. The product was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended, just play way ahead of on a timeline.
This was a Christmas gift for my husband, and it did not disappoint at all. After I submitted my order, I decided I wanted a larger map, and the process was simple. The artist also kept me updated and sent me pictures and a video of the completed map. Excellent
This is one of the most wonderful things I have purchased on Etsy. It is absolutely beautiful, perfect to my specificationsĆ¢ā¬Ā¦ And just absolutely wonderfully well-made. I canĆ¢ā¬ā¢t say enough good things.
The quality and packaging of this product are excellent. Exactly as described. The seller is slow to respond to questions, but once response is received, seller is very helpful. Highly recommend this seller if you are not in a hurry to receive product.
The seller was amazing to work with! His communication was great throughout the entire design and purchase process. He sent me proofs along the way, including a video of the final product before he shipped it. The quality is very good, and this went beyond my expectations.
It was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and he was speechless he loved it so much!
I highly recommend anything from ThaoĆ¢ā¬ā¢s shop!
